In the early days of occupy wall street (several, several weeks ago now) action happening in NYC I thought I might go down and cover it. But it did not take much time for people to grab a hold of it. really. I mean sure the Mainstream Media outlets ignored it for 14 days or so...but the web sphere...no siree did not. And now, across the country, indeed around the world people are protesting against a myriad of things, the core of which is the disparity among the rich and poor. There is no running from it. It's Universal.

So, rather than continue my "liberal" rants I may just swing by there..and instead leave for you a list of important links that will always lead you to more information about the latest happenings. Make no mistake. This movement is not going to fade away. Occupy wall street is here to stay.

Behind the furious struggle for equality and the recent celebrations of the Marriage Equality Act that has passed...the RENT GUIDELINES BOARD of New York was weighing a decision to increase Rates for NYC tenants, (what was once something that made it possible to 'live' in NYC).

The results are a disastrous blow to NYC's residents. In particular Manhattana which already sufferes from gentrification at an alarming rate. It would seem that Manhattan is destined to only be a place for rich and "famous". The silence of Bloomberg on the matter demonstrates no care or interest in the people of Manhattan in our fair city of NY.

As what was chanted outside Cooper Station... Shame! Shame on them and Shame on us for letting it happen.

More than one million rent-regulated city apartments will see hikes in lease renewal rates following a vote by the Rent Guidelines Board at Cooper Union Monday night.

It's official, just a few days ago New York Passed what is know as the Marriage Equality Act. As the name suggests, it is an equal rights Bill. New York is now the 6th and largest state to stand up for equal rights among citizens regardless of sexual preference.

Specifically, the Marriage Equality Act, makes same-sex marriage (and all its subsequent benefits) legal in the state of New York. The law passed the assembly 82-47 and the state senate 33-29.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo introduced the Act on June 14th of this year and the issue was routinely brought up in his previously run campaign to be governor.

This weekend was also host to the Gay Pride Parade and festival in New York City.
For the first time, many say, there was less a sense of Protestation as there was More a sense of Celebration and Love. And anyone waling through the streets, sensed it.

But, as history seems to prove Jon Stewart and the Daily Show are the only ones taking them on. THE LATEST HYPOCRISY? Well the clip below speaks more than enough for itself.

In recent days the hypocrital (and wealthy) anchors at Fox have been spewing venom about how much teachers make..and they should "suck it up". But the video below shows a different story when it comes to Wall Street and typical one when it comes to FAUX NEWS, the GOP propaganda Machine).

"Fox anchors wailing that the Bush tax cuts must be extended for people making over $250,000 per year because those people, as one anchor put it, were almost living in poverty."

Well I thought I was going to get a break from the idiocy that passes as journalism from FOX NEWS.

But lately Every time I brush past it..I hear them discuss the “WEALTHY TEACHERS” that are ruining our country!

It’s pretty amazing actually, the” Robo-Babe” reporters talking like they have a clue and the wealthy anchors ‘touching base’ “with Real Americans”. They talk to their audience like they are on the same level. Even though they (everyone at FOX) make thousands of dollars and every anchor/host hops into a limousine at the end of their work day. BUT…TEACHERS..”Teachers are the problem in our country” and Unions..(Already crippled in the private sector), “Unions are the reason for all our heartache”—all our financial woes!

Meanwhile, Fox rakes in Billions fooling the deluded masses and CNN..ONCE a formidable counter choice to FOX has stooped so low as to rely on video user submissions and “text voting” for news stories (who the hell is running CNN now anyways, are you sure it’s not someone trying to sabotage it?)? “You TEXT it “We’ll Air IT!” wow what complete idiots at CNN!!

So how about MSNBC?

New Yorkers, too busy to get bogged down with ‘specifics’.. Quietly, one might even say Obediently , accepted the MTA hike AND MTA services cuts a week ago with a surprising Apathy and Lack of Response.

At What point are the people of New York going to demand that MTA stop screwing the public?

As MTA considers raising fares once again, continues to fire people (and make the subways even more unsafe)and refuses to keep clean trains, they propose to raise the fares again to make u for their gross mismanagement and obvious corruption.

Even more absurd are plans in the future to send money trying to make the tunnels wireless accessible (talk about a serious waste of money and potential nightmare of a commute)>

Ohhh so I thought I ws gonna give up writing about politics..it's too upsetting..so many conservatives are angry, they scream so loud all they hear is their own voice.

People have become so "unamerican" no one seems to care about the principle upon which our great country was founded. If everyone of the conservative zealots would check themselves they'd hate themselves for what they've become. And then there are those who are so afraid, too afraid to speak up against the hate and racism and intolerances in this country.

With everything that's been going on in the world of politics lately and all the BS, I have had an overload of things to discuss, but have decided not to even comment on.
